Living Room / Window
This is the last big project involving interior work. Much like the first project, this one is mostly flooring, painting, and trim. Although the title of this page indicates it's work being done in the living room, flooring has to be installed in the living room, the kitchen, and the dining area. In other words, the bulk of the house. The painting should be done first, then flooring, then trim. Then cleanup.
This is obviously a fairly straightforward flooring job. Lay the floor, cut for the corners, lay the floor. This flooring will butt up against the entry tile and against the laminate flooring at the door to the master bedroom. That's it. Otherwise, just lay the floor.
Once again, I want craftsman-style trim throughout the entire house. That means five-inch baseboards, framed windows, and perhaps a cove molding. All white.
In trying to come up with colors for the living room and kitchen, I think I might go with something like what you see in the table below. The main color in the living room, covering three walls, would be Adaptive Shade (SW 7053). The dark maroon color — Borscht (SW 7578) — would be on the west wall behind the bookcases, extending into the kitchen.

A second round of work needs to be done in the living room, and that is installing a new bay window. That's priced out separately, as you can see to the right. I've allowed two grand for that, which should be adequate. This project completes all of the interior work!
